a few years on and the funeral of my jw momma still galls me.
she left instructions for which kingdom songs to be sung and we gladly abided by her wishes.
the funeral was held in a public crematorium, not a kingdom hall.

well i just got back from 3 days in hell, and geez was this convention strange or what?
im sure someone's probably made a topic about this already but i can't believe that there weren't any new releases besides the movies.

Through my decades in The Lie, many times they did not announce a date or place for the next years RC. It of course, would lead to suspicion that the WT 'knew' something that we lowly ones didn't. It caused renewed vigor in that... maybe our 'deliverance' was getting near. Nope. They just hadn't finalized the next years RC plans yet or they intentionally try and excite, scare, stress their loyal subjects.
As far as this years emotional videos...maybe the Govererning boobee's wants its followers to eventually stop preaching. Maybe they really did build a huge bunker at their new lakeside estate. Maybe they will try and scare all the sheeples into giving all of their money to them, and sell off all the kingdom hauls and assembly hauls they own. This could take a number of years to accomplish. After a portion of the GB's money is safely packed away in numbered accounts, and after they buy hundreds of different businesses and other investment properties world wide, they will report the preaching is done. Wait on Jehovah. Good bye. Stay warm and well fed and don't let the door hit ya, where the good Lord, split ya and they will morf, into some other new brand religion that doesn't go d2d or use rolly carts. An easier religion. Maybe TV evangelists or TV evalgelists for children... like cartoon religion. (??? I just thought of that. Lett seems to be practing for the part). They will do whatever they can to keep the money flowing in.

to introduce myself, i am still in the jws but learned ttatt some months ago.
i now ask this question to get more info on a past teaching.. between 1967 and 1980 was when the 'current understanding' of the wts was that organ transplants were cannibalism, and thus abhorrent.
As a born in Jdub, my mind was always spinning. as in, what is WT going to change next? The answer to that I have supposed is that when one of the GB members, friends or family, 'need' something on the WT/JW..org 'can't have/do' list, presto, chango, New Lite...
Why do they have to act like uneducated used car salesmen with huge egos that 'know' everything'? We all know people like that and unfortunately, those are the kind of guys running WT/JW..org. Ignorant, arrogant men.
Yes, when transplants started back in the 1960's, it was a disfellowshiping offense to 'eat' another persons body organs and the person doing so would have been considered to be a 'cannibal' by WT standards. I remember it well. What I missed was the March 15, 1980 WT quoted above that said it was a private conscience matter. In 1988, I met someone who had had a transplant and was in good standing. I was shocked to say the least then someone told me WT had changed it's stance on it.
WT does not allow adults to grow up and make their own informed decisions. WT is the ignorant, embaressing blow heart, know it all, domineering, arrogant person that alert and aware people don't want to have anything to do with.

bye... bye.... no more new printing presses for jw.org... the growth is so tremendous (irony...).. all printing work in europe will be arrange in the next month only in selters (germany), but no renovation or upgrading in printing presses is expected... it will be a full outsourcing :).

this company is known to be printing bild newspaper... the interesting part of it is the logistics will be as well outsourced.

I don't know 'big' business, but WT never gives away or pays for something without a hugh benefit for themselves.

First, don't believe anything the poster "Believer" ^^^ writes. He is an a@@hole. He comes in with an attitude, worship god, or you are beneath me. (Middle finger salute to him). The old poster LARS was so much more original and fun.
Secondly, knowing what country you live in, usually indicates which god(s) you were raised to believe in. You were raised in the man made up Jdub religion so you were taught to worship the Israelite god of war, Jehovah. Now that religion is worshipping the GB. They are like the Catholics with their Pope.
ALL religions and gods are made up by people to intentionally have power, mixed with mysticism over an other. Is that what you want?
Do you have someone right now in your life that you love, over the moon and back and would do anything for them and they you? If you do, you have something solid, not imaginary.
